Daniel Golberg Photography

Behind the lens

Photography is all about engagement. It’s how I choose to live. To come up close, to sense the quality of the thing, the person, the space, the land. …what makes it stand out, distinct from all else. It’s about being in relationship to this moment, to slow down time just a bit so that I can feel the connection. So, hopefully my photographs convey emotion, perhaps a surprise opening to the heart of what’s before me. I might even say that it’s the quality of the person, the building, the landscape. One goal I have is to have beauty, meaning and craft appear simultaneously. Another is to keep reaching for the mystery of this wonderful life, to discover what matters to me.

For the past 35 years, my day job is a psychologist and psychoanalyst (www.drdanielgoldberg.com). Sometimes it helps me give shape to what I photograph…to bring forth what might be hidden. I currently live in Quechee, VT. Contact me directly for any requests to purchase photographs at dcgphd@yahoo.com.
